With financing being the most common way of acquiring a commercial vehicle nowadays, we’d thought we’d examine the in-house Mitsubishi L200 finance offers. Mitsubishi provides two main funding choices; PCP for personal users and contract hire for business users.
Mitsubishi L200 finance – Business
Many business buyers opt for contract hire, which is a fixed price, rental agreement. After the vehicle, the maximum annual mileage and length of agreement is agreed, the customer then pays an initial rental followed by fixed monthly rentals to suit their budget. Maintenance costs can even be included as part of the service.
The main advantage for business users is that VAT registered companies can reclaim between 50% to 100% of the VAT element on rental and 100% on the maintenance payments, and the rentals are allowable against tax.
As of June 2017, contract hire rates for the Mitsubishi L200 Barbarian vary between £205 (59 months plus £2,460 initial rental) and £275 (35 months plus £825 initial rental) per month, with a mileage cap of 10,000 miles per year. All prices are subject to VAT.
Other business finance methods offered by Mitsubishi Motors UK include hire purchase and lease purchase.
Mitsubishi L200 offers – Personal
The three main personal finance methods offered by Mitsubishi Motors UK are hire purchase, personal contract hire and the Personal Contract Plan (PCP), which is an increasingly popular way for individuals to acquire the Mitsubishi L200.
PCP is ideal for consumers who would like options at the end of their finance agreement. Personal Contract Purchase customers make an initial payment when they first take out the contract, then pay a fixed monthly repayment and finally have an optional final payment at the end at the end of the contract which is also referred to as the GFV (Guaranteed Future Value).
As of June 2017, Barbarian PCP prices start from £524.28 per month (over 42 months) for the 43-month agreement. Other fees include the £2,000 deposit contribution, £10 purchase fee and the optional final payment of £10,377. There is also an annual mileage cap of 10,000 miles.
