Highlihgts of the new Toyota Hilux include a significant makeover led by the bold, three-dimensional grille and revised bumper that adds significant road presence.
Pictured is the Invincible trim, which also includes LED headlights and LED light clusters at the rear. It’s finished in a new metallic bronze colour.
Changes inside include an uprated cabin covered in higher quality materials, as well as a new infotainment system. This includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and can drive a new JBL nine-speaker sound system.
Under the bonnet is a new 2.8-litre diesel engine that provides a healthy 204hp and 500Nm of torque. This knocks 3.2 seconds off the 0-62mph sprint, bringing it to exactly ten seconds. Despite that, economy is improved with WLTP figures promising 36.3mpg.
The Hilux’s suspension and steering have been adjusted to improve on-road comfort, with drivetrain and electronics updates to improve off-road capabilities.
The new model will arrive in the UK in November, with pricing to be announced closer to its UK debut.
