Volkswagen Amarok Specifications Guide

Sales of the Volkswagen Amarok have gone through the roof over the past 12 months, largely thanks to the new 3.0TDi V6 engine. But with two trim levels – and a special edition – to choose from, which is the best model for you? Read our Volkswagen Amarok Specification Guide to find out.

Volkswagen Amarok specification overview

When the new model was launched in 2016, there were three trim levels available (Startline, Trendline and Highline) and the Aventura special edition. However, the Startline was dropped soon after launch due to poor sales and the Aventura has since been replaced by the Dark Label, as Volkswagen tends to change the special edition model every couple of years.

On the outside, there are 17-inch ‘Posadas’ alloy wheels, front and rear fog lights, colour-coded bumpers, door mirrors and handles and wheelarch extensions.

However, the Highline doesn’t include many common features on top-level models like electric seats, keyless entry and ignition, load bed liner and satellite navigation.

On the outside, the Dark Label is adorned with 18-inch charcoal and chrome ‘Rawson’ alloys, black door handles, ‘Dark Label’ decals, black side and styling bars, underbody styling and a black rear bumper.

Inside, there is the choice of a ‘Alcantara’ fabric upholstery, ‘Dark Label’ floor matt, chrome vent bezels and satellite navigation.
